Mozilla Planning To Release Firefox 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 and 7.0 In 2011

Mozilla has decided to go head to head with Google after the announcement of a “new Chrome for every 6 weeks” by the search giant as Mozilla has announced to release four new versions of its open source browser by the end of 2011 which means that Firefox 4.0, Firefox 5.0, Firefox 6.0, and Firefox 7.0 are all going to be shipped in 2011.

Mozilla has also planned to radically overhaul its release cycle for Firefox to match the pace with Google Chrome‘s release cycle. The frequency of new Firefox releases will accelerate dramatically this year following the launch of Firefox 4.0 whose Beta 11 will be delivered later this week followed by Beta 12. Continue reading

Internet Explorer is at 57.1%, Mozilla Firefox has kept most of its users, while Google Chrome continues to grow its market share.
